Florida FAST ELA Reading Assessment - Required Florida State Testing

All students enrolled in grades K-10 participate in FAST ELA Reading Assessments - the test is given 3 times per year and is used as student progress monitoring system (progress monitoring assessments are given in the beginning, middle, and end of each school year).

Test prep helps students in grades 6-9 to improve progress monitoring scores and to prepare for passing the final FAST ELA Assessment in grade 10, a Florida state graduation requirement.

Test prep helps students in grade 10 to earn a final passing score to meet graduation requirements- students must pass the Grade 10 FAST ELA Reading assessment.

The third and final FAST ELA Reading Assessment is administered in May.

Florida B.E.S.T. Writing Assessment - Required Florida State Testing

All students enrolled in grades 4–10 participate in B.E.S.T. Writing Assessments.

Students must be able to write both an expository essay (informational) and an argumentative essay.

SAT/ACT Facts: Testing for College Admissions

The ACT (American College Testing) and SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) are standardized tests widely used in college admissions in the United States. They are designed to assess a student's readiness for college-level work and are generally accepted by most colleges and universities. ​

Our ACT English Prep focuses revising and editing written text with an emphasis on grammar, language usage, mechanics, and rhetorical skills. We also cover pacing, question types, and key test-taking strategies.

Our SAT Prep focuses on evidence-based reading and writing with an emphasis on reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills. The reading section focuses on understanding and analyzing various texts. The writing section focuses on grammar, sentence structure, and editing skills. We also cover pacing, different prompt types, and key test-taking strategies.
